Licence terms

Last updated 1 September 2026

Plain version first: you buy Screenshot Inbox once, you use it on the Macs you own, you don't resell it, and if it doesn't work for you there's a refund. The rest is the same thing in more careful words.

1. Licence granted

On purchase, Udaan Technologies grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Screenshot Inbox on any Mac that you personally own or that is assigned to you by your employer for your own use.

A licence is held by a person, not a machine. We do not count activations or impose a device limit — enforcing one would require the recurring contact with our servers that this product deliberately avoids.

2. Trial

The 14-day trial is the complete application with nothing withheld. When it expires, screenshot capture and text recognition continue to run and retrieval features — search, the overlay and the library — are locked until a licence is activated. No screenshots or data are deleted when a trial ends.

3. What you may not do

  • Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the application or a licence key.
  • Share a licence key publicly or with people outside your own use.
  • Remove or circumvent the licensing mechanism, or distribute a modified build.
  • Reverse-engineer the application except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

A licence key found to have been publicly shared may be revoked. Revoking a key prevents it activating on further Macs; it does not disable an installation that has already been activated.

4. Your data is yours

We claim no ownership of and no rights over your screenshots, the text recognized from them, or anything else in your library. The application stores them as ordinary files on your Mac and can export all of it at any time. Nothing in these terms grants us access to your content, because the application provides us none.

5. Updates

Updates within version 1.x are included at no additional cost. Updates are delivered through Sparkle, are cryptographically signed, and are only ever fetched when you press Check for Updates. A future major version may be offered as a separate paid upgrade; if so, your existing licence continues to work with the version it was bought for, indefinitely.

6. Refunds

See the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Warranty

Screenshot Inbox is provided "as is". We warrant that it will perform substantially as described on this website, and if it does not, your remedy is a refund under the refund policy. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Stated plainly, because it matters for an app that moves and deletes files: keep backups. The application is built to be careful with your screenshots — destructive actions are always proposed and confirmed, removals go to a recoverable Trash — but it is not a backup system and must not be relied on as one.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Screenshot Inbox is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

9. Purchases and tax

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They are the seller for the purposes of your transaction and handle applicable sales tax and VAT. Their terms apply to the payment itself.

10. Termination

This licence ends if you materially breach these terms — in practice, redistribution or circumvention. On termination you must stop using the application. Your library remains yours and stays on your Mac.
