Three steps, and then forget about it.
macOS asks once, so the app can watch your screenshot folder and move files out of it. If you decline, the app tells you exactly which System Settings pane to open — seepermissions.
Press ⌘⇧4 and capture anything with text in it. It should leave your Desktop and appear in the menu bar within about a second.
Type a word you can see in that screenshot. This is the whole product — if this works, everything else is detail.
Do this on day one
Import your backlog. Settings → Capture → Import Folder, and point it at your Desktop, Downloads, and anywhere else screenshots have piled up. It runs in the background and survives quitting. A library with 3,000 screenshots in it is a product; a library with four is a demo — and the difference decides whether the trial converts. See importing a backlog.
