Consent and your choices

Last updated 1 September 2026

Most consent pages are long because the product collects a lot. This one is short for the opposite reason.

What you are not asked to consent to

  • No cookies, so no cookie consent — see the cookie policy.
  • No analytics or telemetry in the application or on this site, so no analytics consent.
  • No profiling, no automated decision-making, no advertising identifiers.
  • No marketing email programme, so no subscription to decline.
  • No data sale or sharing, so no "do not sell my information" toggle to find.

Your screenshots, the recognized text and the search index never leave your Mac, so there is no consent question about them at all. That is a property of how the application is built, not a setting you have to get right.

What you do consent to, by acting

  • Buying. Completing a purchase means Lemon Squeezy, as merchant of record, processes what it needs to take payment and meet tax law. We receive your email address and country so we can send the licence key and answer you later.
  • Pressing Check for Updates. That request reveals your IP address and app version to the update server, as any HTTP request would. It never runs on its own.
  • Pressing Activate. Your licence key is sent once to be verified, then kept only in your Mac's Keychain.
  • Writing to support. We keep the correspondence so we can follow up and spot a recurring problem.

Your rights, and how to use them

These apply wherever you live. We do not ask which law you are invoking before acting, because sorting requests by jurisdiction would take longer than honouring them.

Know what is heldAsk and you get the list: your email address, your country, your licence key and any support email you sent.
Get a copyThe same list, sent back to you in plain text. Your screenshot library needs no request — export it from the app in one action.
Correct itA wrong email address on a purchase is the common case, and it is fixed the same day.
Delete itSee the data deletion page. The only thing that survives is what tax law requires the merchant of record to keep.
Object or restrictTell us to stop using the correspondence for anything but answering you, and that is what happens.
Opt out of sale or sharingNothing to opt out of. Your data has never been sold, shared or licensed to anyone, and there is no advertising relationship to sell it into.
Withdraw consentWithdrawable at any time, with no effect on your licence — the licence is a contract, not a consent.
ComplainYou may complain to your data protection authority. We would rather you wrote to us first, but that is your choice, not a condition.

Send any of these to support@screenshotinbox.com from the address you bought with, or tell us which address you used. There is no form and no portal. Expect an answer within three working days and completion within thirty.

Children

The application is a utility for your own Mac and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under 16. If you believe we do, write and it will be deleted.

Where your data is handled

Udaan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. operates from Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Purchase records sit with Lemon Squeezy under their own terms and their own transfer safeguards. Support email is ordinary email. Nothing else is transferred anywhere, because nothing else is collected.
